Who it is for

  • 01Students from low-income households preparing for any of TMUA, ESAT, TARA or STEP.
  • 02No grade or school requirement. We assess financial need, not whether you "deserve" it.
  • 03One application per subject per person; if declined you can apply again with more documents.

    Pick the subject and sitting, write at least 120 characters about your situation, attach up to 3 documents.

    Reply within 24 hours

    The decision goes to your account email. Your free allowance keeps working while you wait.

  4. Step 4

    Approved means unlocked

    Access is written to your account automatically, until 30 days after results day. Nothing else to do.

Frequently asked questions

What does the bursary cover?
Every paid feature for the chosen subject: all past papers and original mocks, unlimited practice in the builder, a full solution and option-by-option feedback for every question, AI error diagnosis, lessons and the exam-style interface. Identical to paid access.
How long does it last?
Until 30 days after the official results day of the sitting you chose. Where the board has not published a results day yet, we use 60 days after the exam date. Thirty days is enough to review after results.
What documents do I need?
A statement of at least 120 characters is required. Documents are optional: benefit letters, existing bursary awards, a school letter, up to 3 files of 3MB each. You can submit without documents and we assess on the statement.
How fast is the reply?
By email within 24 hours, weekends and holidays included.
Can I apply for more than one subject?
Yes. Each subject is a separate application, assessed separately. Only one application per subject can be under review at a time.
What if I am declined?
The email includes the reviewer note. You can apply again with more detail or documents, with no limit on attempts. Your free allowance of 10 questions a day and 2 free papers per subject is unaffected.
What about my privacy?
The application and documents are visible only to platform administrators, used only to assess that application, never for marketing and never shared with institutions or third parties. You can delete your account at any time in settings.

The bursary is funded and assessed by Frontier Academy alone and is not connected to any exam board, university or third party.
