UCL's undergraduate Electronic and Electrical Engineering courses are listed in the official UAT-UK 2027 Entry Course List with an admissions test requirement. 02 Choosing Your Modules: Mathematics 1 Plus Two

Each ESAT module has 27 multiple-choice questions in 40 minutes. Mathematics 1 is compulsory for every ESAT candidate; for UCL Electronic and Electrical Engineering (H600/H601) you then pick any two of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics 2, sitting three modules for 120 minutes in total. Each module is scored separately on a 1.0 to 9.0 scale.
Any two-module combination is valid under the official policy. If you are unsure, Physics plus Mathematics 2 maps most directly onto an engineering background and is worth considering first, but that is a suggestion, not a rule. Before you commit, read:

03 Key Dates and Registration: Sittings for China, Hong Kong, and Macau

The ESAT is run by UAT-UK and delivered as a computer-based test by Pearson VUE. It replaced the NSAA and ENGAA from 2024. For 2027 entry, candidates in mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau have two fixed sitting windows:
  • 12 to 13 October 2026
  • 6 January 2027
In the UAT-UK 2027 Course List wording we verified, UCL Electronic and Electrical Engineering carries no restriction to a specific sitting.
