- Candidates in mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau sit on fixed dates: 15 or 16 October 2026, or 8 January 2027, with no choice of day, so plan school leave and travel around them.
- For a university like Warwick that treats the TMUA as a positive factor in assessment, the October sitting is the safer default: the result is available earlier and can work for you across more of the cycle. The January sitting (fixed at 8 January 2027 for mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau) is the second window in the cycle.
